This guy's plan is to get a house through a series of trades. His first item is a red paper clip. He is actually doing rather well. At one point he has a truck which he traded for a recording contract which he traded for 1 years rent. It was then that he made a mistake though. He traded the rent for an afternoon with Alice Cooper. I assume he did this purely for publicity because he then talked to Alice on a radio broadcast. He traded Alice Cooper for a KISS snowdome. He lost a years rent for a freakin' snowdome.

My bet is that he'll swap the dome for the boat.

He was holding a glass of bourbon, but he swore that the taste of Tab lingered in his mouth. “Not to boast, but I’ve had eight cans today,” he said.'

http://www.newyorker.com/talk/content/articles/060206ta_talk_mcgrath

1. You liked Swann's Way, right? Can you talk about that, and was it Lydia Davis's translation?
Yeah, I did like it. I read the the scott moncrieff and terence kilmartin translation. I'm very interested in reading the Lydia Davis translation some time though.

I started reading the book about a quarter of the way through the first year of my science degree. At this time I was in general feeling tired and outstretched which meant that my reading of swann's way ended up taking me quite a long time.

Therefore the first half of the book is a bit of a blur to me. It wasn't until I got to the second half about the story of Swann and Odette that I really got excited about the book. I was really impressed by the plasticity of consciousness and memory. I'm also interested in the power of memory association in the book. Particularly i like the effect the small piece of music from the sonata had on swann's attraction to odette.

I've finished the second volume, "within a budding grove", I've bought "the guermantes way" and I want to read it soon. But I currently have three books that people have lent me that I should get through first.

2. Does Eirinn still have a problem?
He sure does! He now has a box of drugs in his room. I would of had an intervention but he gave me half a hash cookie so I let it slide.

3. What's the funniest thing you've ever heard?
Other people don't tend to find it so funny but I lose it anytime I hear "Teddy bear" by boxcar willie.

There was also the first time I heard that the vice president of the united states of america shot an innocent man in the face because he thought he was quail.

4. If you had to spend five days in a jungle, what would you do with your time?

NOT BE PANIC

I would start by trying to remember what they did on "lost". I'd probably end up surviving on coconuts or whatever fruit was there because I don't think I would be very successful at hunting. To cope with boredom I'd probably try to make a dance routine which borries heavily from the OK go filmclip.

5. Lastly, can you have your power ballad party at a time when many relationships are uncertain and many people single, so the power ballads can kick everything along?
I shall try. But I have no idea when that will happen.

01. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
02. I will respond by asking you five questions of a somewhat questionable nature.
03. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
04. Include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
05. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
