I'm really bad at trying to figure these out for other people. Though there are a couple of giveaways in this list.
Step 1: Put your iTunes or equivalent on random. Step 2: Post the first line from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing. Step 3: Bold or Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly. Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING. (And I'll know if you get one outside of your musical boundaries!)

Sealand is pretty much the best place ever. The country is a man made offshore military base constructed in World War 2. The nation has survived fires, been hassled by the Royal Navy and even had a military coup lead by the prime minister (Professor Alexander G. Achenbach).
Here is the national anthem.
Now transfer of leadership is up for grabs. The Swedish bit torrent tracking company The Pirate Bay are going to try to purchase it.
Wow, a pirate nation on the high seas.

Well, it's settled. Humans have now reached the peak of culinary creativity.
It pretty much has everything you could ever want.
I'm not sure if feeding it to someone techinically counts as murder or not.

I mentioned Larrikon Love before. I didn't know then that the lead singer seems to be Ron Weasley.
(I know it isn't really him.)

Here and here are videos showing a half-life 2 mod with a vacuum system that allows you to suck people into space. It's funny watching the people before the doors open. There are alarms blaring and flashing lights yet all the people seem to be walking around happily.

I think a while ago I did a post about tribute bands and their band names.
I found a new one today: Radiodread - a reggae tribute to Radiohead.
It's quite recent. I think it came out a couple of weeks ago, and some of it is really good. "Airbag" is my favourite so far.

Two bands I kinda like right now (at this very minute)
larrikin love
Los Campesinos!
and they both have myspace pages. Woo!
You owe it to all your senses to hear these bands. Or not. You might not care, you might hear them and hate them or have already heard them. Whatever.

My washing machine starting up sounds like the first bit of the Dies Irae section in verdi's requiem, (it was the bit used in Face/Off)

Read and enjoy this notice from the editor from an early 1970's DC comic where they tell it like it is.

http://oneredpaperclip.blogspot.com/
An interesting blog. This guy's plan is to get a house through a series of trades. His first item is a red paper clip. He is actually doing rather well. At one point he has a truck which he traded for a recording contract which he traded for 1 years rent. It was then that he made a mistake though. He traded the rent for an afternoon with Alice Cooper. I assume he did this purely for publicity because he then talked to Alice on a radio broadcast. He traded Alice Cooper for a KISS snowdome. He lost a years rent for a freakin' snowdome.
My bet is that he'll swap the dome for the boat.

I have never heard of this drink but the article is still great.
'Coke officials promise that the old Tab isn’t going to be retired, which is good news for Edelstein. “For the last thirty years, through marriage, kids, fluctuations in my financial situation, Tab has been the one constant in my life,” he said. He was holding a glass of bourbon, but he swore that the taste of Tab lingered in his mouth. “Not to boast, but I’ve had eight cans today,” he said.'
